After Hitler took over France I am sure the French people would have been happy to have a truce and that no attempt to liberate them on humanitarian grounds.

The only way to end the fighting is for one side to break the will of the other to fight. For 70 years every time Israel gets the upper hand there is pressure from the west to end the fighting leaving the other side time to regroup, resupply, and begin the attacks again.

Let Israel finish the job. This is war like it was fought in WWII. All out total. The allies would not have won against Japan or Germany if they fought then with the rules we fight today.
