Perp is psychotic (”hearing voices”) and was a catch and release at mental health facility for about two weeks this summer.

I smell a massive wrongful death lawsuit against some “mental health professionals”

Card is a registered sex offender, not legal for him to own a firearm. Not likely to be a current “firearms instructor”!

Also one of his ex’s has a restraining order against him.

Voted for Bush and Obama, according to family.

With Johnson now running the House, we don’t need to worry about losing our rights. If the Dems want to have a debate about gun control, they’re welcome to do so, perhaps starting with them explaining how Israeli gun control created defenseless civilians how were executed like insects by their mortal enemies.

Is there much of a difference between Bush and Obama?

Much easier to find people in the woods these days with every podunk PDs having thermal outfitted drones, etc. You can defeat FLIR but you have to have special gear and be stationary. All that said, nothing’s perfect.

I’d say the only significant difference is Obungo put the LGBT and domestic Marxist revolutions into overdrive.

“He was sectioned after saying he was hearing voices, and threatening to shoot up his National Guard base in Saco, Maine.”

And yet, this was not enough to put him in a mental hospital as an in patient.

Well this ought to crank up Hogg and pals. Grrrrrr! Meanwhile 14 million ARs didn’t do anything. ODs last year were, IIRC, 100,000+ and meh!

We don’t “section” here. That must be from the Daily Mail or other UK site. Section something of the Mental Health act

I saw a movie once where only the police and military had guns, it was called "Schindler's List".

The laws have been constructed such that if their psychotic symptomology ends while institionalized, they are released on medications...the patients stops taking the meds and the symptoms reoccur. Hence the descriptive term among staff at those institutions as the patient being a “frequent flyer”...
The psychiatrists and the legal officials and the public has to realize that chronic relapsers are in a different class of disease process and may need to be institutionalized for much longer periods...there need to be safeguards against political oppression using faked mental disease charges, however.
