It is just one of the BENEFITS offered by this fortune 500 corporation both my son and his room mate work for.
Like paying for my son’s Master’s Degree. Like having a full GYM with a trainer available. Like having a nice cafeteria with really good food. Like offering covered parking spots so you do not have to clear snow off your vehicle. Plus your car is shade in the summer. Like stock options and profit sharing.

I look at that as just another thing that a corporation offers you to get people to work there instead of somewhere else. Six free chargers at a facility where there are over 1000 employees. I suspect the trainers in the GYM coast them more.

Great job on EV’s... a must read for possible future buyers.

I have a son in college about a hundred miles away on back roads, and if I had to drive a less than fully charged EV to see him, I would be in trouble. There are no charging stations to be found, and no reason to build any. EV’s are only good for traveling if you stick to the interstates and major highways, and even then you had better make sure you have enough juice to make it to the next major city.

I’ve seen some fringe people express the opinion that our Space Program is a bit more advanced than we let on. And that our $33T debt is going to be paid off pretty soon because we are about to start mining asteroids that are worth a heck of a lot more than a mere $33T.

Well it likely won’t be NASA doing it. Shuttle stopped in 2011 and not much from them since then. Elon maybe.

Thanks! For over five years I have liked the fact that he's an engineer and a total gearhead, as well as a longtime EV owner.

It’s like busses in Afghanistan...sometimes the bus goes in the morning
Sometimes it goes in the afternoon
And Sometimes it doesn’t go at all.

They failed in the 19th century. The Ev actually predates the ice engine.

Our town still has a charger that shows up as available at a liberal coffee house that went tits up during the COVID lock down.

The charger is still there but is disconnected. I normally tow 1 or 2 from there to the next charging station 45 miles away a week

I hope they never fix that “glitch” on the maps lol

Motor clubs tried to get me to buy a 8500 dollar EV charging generator so I could send a pickup and give them a 1 hour charge for 40 bucks. I said they must think I am stupid. 100 dollar hook fee and 4 dollars a mile sounded better. Plus that only takes me an hour too.

Tesla has good coverage along interstates and major highways. The issue is whether or not they have enough chargers to handle peak travel times. When the full eclipse occurred a few years a bunch of Tesla drivers thought it would be cool to go to Wyoming to view it. There was no problem getting there because of different arrival times. When the eclipse ended, everybody left at the same time and jammed up the charging stations. It took hours and hours to get a charge near the back of the line..

I have never seen a college or university campus without at least a few chargers. Are you sure about that?

We just don't have the electrical generating and charging infrastructure, to support the mass adoption of electric vehicles. But in spite of that, our government officials insist on force feeding electric vehicles on us, whether practical or not.

And if the infrastructure did exist, much of it would be locked down, unused, because some segment of the "Woke/Victim hood" crowd would dream up lawsuits seeking big buck payouts for various "damage to (fill in anything here)" reasons.

I’ve been saying this for 20 years, battery-only EVs aren’t much a bargain when you consider that if you rely on your car for every-day and spur-of-the-moment transportation, you also HAVE TO HAVE a second vehicle (preferably one that runs on dead dinosaurs) for all the times when the BEV is on the rag.

But, hey, battery-only EVs have only been around for about 190 years. They're bound to catch up ... eventually.
