Which is exactly why Hamas released first two hostages and then a week later, another two. They can demand that the U.S. insist Israel hold back from any action while they regroup and plan their next attack all while dangling the chance of more hostage releases.
The more time that passes since October 7th, the louder they will exclaim any eventual retaliatory attack is unwarranted.
Israel meanwhile is being set up for another horrible attack. Israel needs to understand that many in the current U.S. administration do not have their best interest at heart.
While our various military units have a no man left behind mission statement, they WILL send troops into a situation where they KNOW they will not likely return.
