The Thomas Shoal is west of the Philippine’s Palawan Island, and east of the Spratley Islands that belongs to Viet Nam and which has been illegally occupied by the Chinese. That nation claims every damned island and shoal in the South China Sea and has also occupied Vietnam’s Paracel Islands — except for a 14th Century Map they were never claimed by China.
