Thanks for the info on Zeldin’s voting record! But that’s only part of the story. Whether Zeldin (or any other compromise candidate) would be better than McCarthy or Scalise would depend on what kind of deals he had to make to get to 217.

I’m referring to deals because I assume he’d need some Democratic votes. Right now it seems there’s no one who can get 217 Republican votes.
