McCarthy’s fault as well for going along with the ridiculous notion that any member of the conference could, at any time, launch a motion to vacate the chair. That was not a good idea, under any circumstances. And now here we are in this hot mess.

You’d never know the country has gone to hell in every direction, with them at the wheel.

BUT If they fail to elect a Speaker, the media will be howling and then only 5 Republicans would need to decide to "act responsibly" and "reach across the aisle" to make Jeffries Speaker - which is what I think will happen.

That would be such a betrayal of our voters... I hope you're wrong Jim - as I know you hope you're wrong too.

I doubt it. Look for Jordan to drop out and a more moderate become speaker.

They are not RINOS. They are the Republicans.

Conservatives and MAGA are the odd minority ones and should not be registered Republicans but No Party registered.

The only thing to make a change is for them to see a massive exodus of voters from party registration. As long as you are on their mailing address, why should they change? It’s an endorsement of what’s happening now.

Well, that’s the problem, at least with Bacon. He appears to be representing his district, or, at least his best chance of keeping the seat in 2024.

I call BS. He could get more for his district by voting for Jordan, or if the votes are right, just voting present.
