Yep. One of the biggest mistakes made during the Vietnam War were the bombing pauses. Whenever the rationale for the pause was found to be ineffective and bombing resumed, pilots had to face beefed up defenses. Unrelenting pressure is the only way to go.

You betcha. I agree 100%. Hitting the pause button during a war is like giving the other team time to regroup.

The only thing my dad would say about VN when he got home (355th TFW “Gunfighters” out of Da Nang) was, “They wouldn’t let us win”. For the next 45 years.

It’s the same SOP with Hamas. They attack Israel and when they are getting the crap pounded out of them, they call for a truce. which is nothing less than a pause to rearm and regroup for the next wave of murderers to get ready.
