If you haven’t been there, it’s an impressive place, even for someone like me who is not an art connoisseur, The Real Mona Lisa, Venus De Milo and other works of art you read about in history books.
I’ve been somewhat surprised the Islamic Terrorist in France and specifically Paris haven’t attacked the Louvre, Eiffel Tower and other landmarks around Paris and destroy them.

That day will come, the culture of the infidels must be destroyed.
I am also surprised that it has not happened yet in Great Britain, France, and the USA.
My son bought me a large, awesome map of Paris with the raised seal of the Louve
I am sure the Louvre is on their list. I visited in 1976...got to stand right in front of the Mona Lisa...no barriers of any kind. How times have changed.
I’ve o ly seen a few paintings by masters- would love to spend a few days in a museum- view8ng the famous pa8ntings in person. Book photos of the paintings just can’t do them justice
Visited it twice. First time in 2006 and again in 2007 when I was in Paris. The only reason I went to Paris in 2006, was to take a tour to the D-Day Beaches of Normandy. I had an extra day to spend before I had to be in London, so I spent it at The Louvre. Went again the following year, because a friend I had traveled with, had never been there. We did 10 days in London, and took an overnight trip to Paris, and visited The Louvre, and toured Chateau Vincennes on the eastern edge of Paris.
