When Trump imposed sanctions on Iran, they went from shippimg 2.5 million barrels a day prepandemic highs to half a million and he crashed their economy while he got busy blowing up their top general. He had them in a box. Biden came in and resuscitated their economy to get them to the negotiation table by looking the other way while they built their oil shipments to the record 3 million a day today to fill their terror coffers. Not sure what imposing sanctions will do when we already have sanctions which Biden has disregarded
why not? Because it worked so well against Russia
I’m pretty sure few nations who send cash overseas haven’t financed at least inadvertently hamas to some degree given they are the Palestinians in Gaza elected leadership body
An election in 2006 where they beat the Palestinian authority or FATAH by 30%
Biggest donor besides Iran is NATO member Turkey
If you give money to Gaza and Hamas controls it then they will get their hands on it
One note
USA and Qatar are now as of today withholding that six billion that was being returned to Iran last week
So there is that
As your liberties are under constant surveillance, keep in mind the West/Israel had no “intelligence” regarding the assault
NATO? In time of need, NATO is an empty toilet paper roll.
The goal should be to isolate Hamas, not to make new/stronger allies for it.

Theodore Roosevelt; “speak softly and carry a big stick”
As practiced by Roosevelt, big stick diplomacy had five components. First, it was essential to possess serious military capability that would force the adversary to pay close attention. At the time that meant a world-class navy; Roosevelt never had a large army at his disposal. The other qualities were to act justly toward other nations, never to bluff, to strike only when prepared to strike hard, and to be willing to allow the adversary to save face in defeat.

The Platt Amendment (the name is a misnomer; the Platt Amendment is actually a rider to the Army Appropriation Act of 1901) was accepted by Cuba in late 1901, after “strong pressure” from Washington. The Platt Amendment, summarized by Thomas A. Bailey in “Diplomatic History of the American People”:
1. Cuba was not to make decisions impairing her independence or to permit a foreign power [e.g., Germany] to secure lodgment in control over the island.
2. Cuba pledged herself not to incur an indebtedness beyond her means [It might result in foreign intervention].
3.The United States was at liberty to intervene for the purpose of preserving order and maintaining Cuban independence.
4. Cuba would agree to an American-sponsored sanitation program [Aimed largely at yellow fever].
5. Cuba would agree to sell or lease to the United States sites for naval or coaling stations [Guantánamo became the principal base].
With the Platt Amendment in place, Roosevelt pulled the troops out of Cuba. A year later, Roosevelt wrote:
Just at the moment I am so angry with that infernal little Cuban republic that I would like to wipe its people off the face of the earth. All that we wanted from them was that they would behave themselves and be prosperous and happy so that we would not have to interfere.

Its not going to happen. Brandon should reimpose the sanctions against Iran but he won’t.
I guess that would be possible if there were some way to replace the oil that would be closed off. Japan and China would get cold pretty quickly.
The price of gas in the US would hit $8 a gallons and the cost of heating the average home would be horrific.
If only the US had some way to support “shocks” to the oil supply....
