I agree. As I mentioned, we’ve ran out of choices and possibilities.
The hypothesis of momentarily having Trump helping out as Speaker just seems to be the last desperate option. It’s evidently not perfect. But here we are.
We have a dysfunctional Republican Party in the House. And it seems to just continue spiraling down towards the gates of hell.
Endless Republican infighting is ok for a while, But there comes a moment where we must start to be serious and work. The world is at war. And we wage political war within our own party... Madness. Not smart. Deconstructive. Irresponsible.

That’s the problem. Scalise is GOPe and Jordan is MAGA Tea arty. If neither of them can get the 217 (218 is an absolute majority), then who can? The Establishment doesn’t want Jordan and MAGA doesn’t want McCarthy, Scalise, or anyone like them. Who can get the votes that is worth giving them to?
