Over more than half a century I have lived in seven different places all over the South and I have never seen someone displaying a swastika.
If it's true that conservatives fly swastikas in the south then I must not get out enough.
Nah, the congressman is just spouting BS.
51 marchers in Charlottesville that time ...51 lol. The media acted like it was 10,000.
I did see a few in Ithaca NY, but brought by counter-counter demonstrators at a pro-abortion rally.
They never tire of putting our side on the defensive and making us protest our innocence. Spit at them instead.
I’ve been living in Georgia for 13 years in one of the most conservative counties. In the 2020 election 75% of the county vote went for Trump. I have never seen a swastika but I have seen plenty of American flags!
As a multi-generation son of the South, I will say right out,
New York Rep. Dan Goldman is a lying Son of a Jill.
You may see a smattering of Battle Flags, but you ain’t gonna see any NAZI flags with Swastikas. Unless there are a few feds filtered in the crowd.
The only time that I ever saw a Swastika in the South is when I was growing up in Virginia right across the Potomac from Washington DC.
George Lincoln Rockwell had his American Nazi Party “Hatemonger Hill” compound at the end of my friend’s street. That bunch seemed to be more like clowns than something to take seriously. Eventually one of Rockwell’s disgruntled ex-stormtroopers shot and killed him so apparently they weren’t entirely harmless.
I am in NC and have never seen a swastika here. So that comment about swastikas is a lie.
Here in Alabama, the only swastikas I’ve ever seen are on the arms of Illinois Nazis……
I hate Illinois Nazis……
RLTW
I’m in my 60s and have lived in the south all but 3 years of my life. I’ve never seen a swastika in any public demonstration whatsoever. The only place I can recall seeing one is in the doodlings of bored school boys. A public display implying advocacy would not be well received, nor should it be.
A kapo or prisoner functionary was a (usually Jewish) prisoner in a Nazi camp who was assigned by the Schutzstaffel guards to supervise forced labor or carry out administrative tasks.
Take a look at my screen name. We do not fly swastikas. Confederate Battle Flags? Yeah, sometimes. Gadsden flags? Oh, hell yeah. Only the nuts fly swastikas, they’re few and far between, and they’re just as likely to be from NY City as lower Alabama. Actually, as evidenced yesterday, they’re more likely to be from NYC.
Nazis in America are not in South anyway.
The handful of real Neo Nazis are (according to Wikipedia) based in Midwest!
If there have been any (doubtful), it was likely the FIBies trying to stoke something.
I’ve been in the south for 60 years and have never seen a Swastika.
Funny how liberals and media liberals in particular bitch and whine about swastikas while most of them proudly wear Columbia Sportswear on live TV.
If you don’t know what I mean here check out their logo.
You sure you posted the right link?
I’m seventh generation
Saw the klan march twice in Tupelo and Oxford
No Nazi flags
One klansman worked for my dad and attacked news photog at the Tupelo rally
Dad fired him
I dated a separated gal in Beaumont where I was office manager on a pipeline spread over the Neches once who was older
She asked me to go in the closet once to get her robe
Lo and behold there was her soon to be ex Klan robe hanging and a Thompson case above it
I was like damn
I extricated from that affair
She was not the least bit klan
A comely blonde of 33 and I was 24 and he had been ugly to her so she appreciated kindness
But I confess scared me
Like seeing Bandidos cuts or similar
Why invite trouble unless you’re truly invested
I saw a Nazi flag once at a rally in Buffalo, NY for a GOP Sherriff.
There were many US flags All over.
But over in a corner, quite a distance away from everyone else was a small (4 or 5) group of people carrying a Nazi flag. No one was interacting with them, and they were not mingling with the rally people.
But The next day there was a picture of the Sherriff candidate, at the podium, with the Nazi flag seemingly right next to him.
The only way you could make it look like that was from a distance, using a long distance telephoto camera lens.
So, the newspaper photographer STAGED the photo by setting up in a parking garage the opposite distance away from the people carrying the flag, telling them where to stand and how to wave the flag.
The liar is unfit for office.
