You’re right. I checked the link before I posted to make sure it was right. I don’t know if the problem was on my end or the Daily Caller’s.
I should have added the sarcasm tag. Obviously I don’t believe the claim we march with NAZI regalia of any kind.
I should have done a sarcasm tag. I know the claims made by
the pro Palestine idiot are full of horse hockey.
No it is a loom weave
Chase bank uses a swastika too.
Me neither. Lived in Louisiana, Texas, Arkansas, Florida, South Carolina and Georgia.
Just moved to Virginia. Maybe I'll see one here.
Woodrow Wilson was a child of the Confederacy.
Born in 1856 in Staunton, Virginia, his family supported slavery and the Confederacy.
Wilson witnessed the Civil War as a boy in Augusta, Georgia.
"...Wilson described himself as an opponent of both slavery and the Confederacy, though based solely on the grounds that neither would in the long term prove beneficial for the southern economy.
The idea that holding another human being in bondage as chattel was inherently immoral is absent from any of the Wilson's discussion on the subject: on the contrary, Wilson described slavery as a benevolent state for Negros, whose white masters looked after their "comfort and welfare" and 'meted out justice fairly.' [14]"
Pelham: "The 2nd KKK era which began in 1915 included two Republican Governors, one being Edward Jackson of Indiana.
The Democrat = Klan is a myth, they had no party affiliation.
The Klan was anti-Catholic at a time when Democrats were running Al Smith for President."
Indiana Governor Edward Jackson (politically active from 1916 to 1929) was a crooked politician who took bribes from the Ku Klux Klan and offered bribes to other politicians.
He was eventually exposed and disgraced by fellow Republicans and his downfall helped destroy the 2nd Ku Klux Klan nationwide.
The Ku Klux Klan was absolutely a product of Southern Democrats, whose tentacles reached out of the South into northern states like Indiana and, like everything Democratic, it corrupted whomever it touched, in rare cases even a corrupt Republican politician like Edward Jackson.
Historically, as our current abject situation illustrates, corruption is a feature of Democrat politics.
It's a failure among Republicans.
Pelham: "Jim Crow laws, Black Codes, existed all across Northern states in the decades prior to the Civil War.
They weren’t invented in the South."
In every case in the North that I know of, such laws were passed by Democrats sympathetic to the South and eventually abolished by Republicans less so.
Democrats forever own slavery, racism, black codes, KKK type terrorism, voting restrictions, segregation, the Confederacy and everything else associated.
Republicans are the major force responsible for ending all of those, period.
So you’re bailing out the claim that Woodrow Wilson was reinstituting slavery?
Maybe the original poster got that goofy idea from one of your tedious and convoluted stories instead of from Dinesh and Beck.
Of course those two at least seem to know that Wilson was a progressive as they blame him for things that Republican progressives set in motion under Teddy Roosevelt. But they do seem to like your same simplistic morality tale where the GOP is the army of God in history so there is that.
I saw a Nazi flag once at a rally in Buffalo, NY for a GOP Sherriff.
There were many US flags All over.
But over in a corner, quite a distance away from everyone else was a small (4 or 5) group of people carrying a Nazi flag. No one was interacting with them, and they were not mingling with the rally people.
But The next day there was a picture of the Sherriff candidate, at the podium, with the Nazi flag seemingly right next to him.
The only way you could make it look like that was from a distance, using a long distance telephoto camera lens.
So, the newspaper photographer STAGED the photo by setting up in a parking garage the opposite distance away from the people carrying the flag, telling them where to stand and how to wave the flag.
The liar is unfit for office.
I saw no claims regarding Pres. Wilson and slavery.
If you have something you want me to respond to, then feel free to quote it here.
I am here responding to your blatant efforts to re-cast Wilson as a Northern Progressive Republican.
He wasn't, Wilson was a dyed-in-the-wool racist Southern Democrat.
Southern Democrats had no problems with increasing government spending and largess, provided they themselves were beneficiaries.
Like all Democrats, they only became "staunchly conservative" when government funds got directed towards other interest groups.
Pelham: " But they do seem to like your same simplistic morality tale where the GOP is the army of God in history so there is that.
My formulation for that is: All Democrat politicians are devils, along with just under half of Republicans.
At best, God's angels are a slim majority among Republicans, and sadly, not always even a slim majority.
The really scary thing is, he probably actually believes this.
Those clowns you see waving swastikas are either feds or an extreme outlier minority of mentally [ill] rejects.
