President Recep Tayyip Erdogan warned that the US aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford, which happens to be the largest of its kind, and recently arrived in Israel, may contribute to serious massacres against Palestinians and destroy Gaza, amid ongoing tensions in the region.
"What is the U.S. aircraft carrier doing in Israel? It will start to carry out serious massacres there by striking, destroying Gaza," Erdogan told a joint news conference with Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer in the capital Ankara on Tuesday.
He added: "I have to explain something here. Look, there are over 20 American bases in Syria today. What are America's bases doing in Syria?...Unfortunately, America (last week) shot down one of Türkiye's unmanned aerial vehicles. While America shot down the unmanned aerial vehicle, isn't Türkiye currently America's partner in NATO?"
"How do we explain this? How will we evaluate this?...Unfortunately, America is currently training, and arming all terrorist groups, and unfortunately, it is turning these places into bloodbaths, whether in Syria, in this region or in the Middle East," Erdogan said...

Those crazy Turks. Erdogan is starting to get on my nerves. He has already expressed his desires to play negotiator and humanitarian aid worker. The USS Ford is intimidating Erdogan.

Erdogan may be trying to brace his own nuts and others to accept that happening.
He is rebuilding the Ottoman Empire trying to intimidate his way into a better position.
Turkey and Israel recently helped Azerbaijan which neighbors Iran on the north and is a Turkish ally whip Armenia in some disputed territory turning a few hundred thousand Armenians into refugees.
So Erdogan plays in all directions and tries to squeeze Turkey to a better position.
Let’s hope so.
It is the ONLY thing that has even the slightest potential at stopping Hamas.
That Carrier is there to help prevent people like the Dictator of Turkey from joining the battle.
A real President would be on the phone “stop supporting the mass murdering rapists right now or we will start equipping the Kurds.

What gives with Hezbollah? That’s Iran player from the West Bank. If the crap is about to really hit the fan, you’ll see extensive Hezbollah actions in the north first. You and I paid for 11 active duty carrier battle groups. Why are 9 of them sitting at home? It might be nice to have one in the Persian Gulf just in case someone wants to Nordstream the Straight of Hormuz.

I believe he’s mistaken, in that our carrier group will focus on countering Hezbollah, while Israel takes care of Gaza.
If we also help retaliate for the killing and kidnapping of our citizens, also good.
