I’ve never used that post-2000 media newspeak color switcheroo. It’s offensive to my very soul. Red will always be the color of Communist/Nazi/Demonrat totalitarianism. The color of the hundreds of millions of their victims, killed, wounded or oppressed.
Yes, but you do understand why they have it that way - for the media, the leftists are their allies so they portray them as blue forces.
In modern combat mapping, blue forces are your own or allied/friendly forces. Red forces are the enemy, no matter who they actually are.
