It’s pretty easy to prove if he paid his taxes. Could you prove if you paid yours? I sure as hell can prove that mine were paid.

The IRS doesn’t just slap a lien on a home. There is a lot of communication with the taxpayer before it gets to that point. It’s just this is the first move that is public.

Either he did or he didn’t. Why is this so difficult?

Let’s hope the IRS followed the rules. Looking at H. Bidens case, there are times they do not.

The IRS is unpredictable.

I started a family limited partnership with my wife and kids.
The purpose was to be able to pass ownership of 400 acres of timberland to my kids without them having to pay the inheritance taxes. The year I established the company without any income at all, the IRS demanded that I pay a tax of $6,500. My tax preparer sent them a letter back pinning their ears back. The partnership made no income, but I got the threatening letter anyway.
