Is Bedford Sty a bad neighborhood in general?
Let's put it this way, My brother was driving thru and stopped to ask a cop directions. Cop said do you know where you are, take that Left and drive 5 blocks and do not stop at a single stop sign.

Bed-Stuy has been a bad neighborhood for decades. A “sty” is where pigs live.
Well...not even a bear would shit in those woods.
In general yeah. And it pushes up against the more upscale Brooklyn neighborhood of Crown Heights.
Has been for a long time. Progressivism is not making it any better.
It was one of the very worst neighborhoods for years.
Lately, people have been trying to “gentrify” it.
The brownstones are a big draw.
But it’s not all brownstones, and it still has an extremely high crime rate.
