I listened to Kevin McCarthy’s exit speech. To me, it was clear that the government is his blanky, his Teddy Bear; he wants to snuggle with it, kiss its cute little head and sleep with it. He stated several times that he had “served the people” by reaching a compromise with the Democrats and not shutting the government down. I happen to think the people are best served by having an absolute showdown over an out-of-control government freight train barreling down the tracks with no engineer and no brakes.

I heard some Republican talking heads stating, “well yes, the government is out of control, but now is not the time to have the disruption. We can’t afford to have a government shut down before the election.” And of course, this is what the backboneless blatherers always say, which is why there have been 200 continuing resolutions over the last 46 years.
Here’s the way it works. Congress doesn’t do its job. Instead of fighting over how every penny in an appropriations bill should be spent (and in my world having knife fights and bloody brawls), it doesn’t pass any bills. It then waits to a few days before Christmas and in the dead of night passes a 3,500 page omnibus spending bill loaded with obscene waste and special interest favors. The vacuous airheads for the Deep State and their minions in the media all prate, jabber and patter telling us how little Cindy Lou Hoo is going to have a terrible Christmas if the omnibus bill isn’t passed in 8 hours. All 435 members of Congress vote on a bill that not one, let me repeat, NOT ONE of them has read. In a sane world, the enraged citizenry would set up gallows on the Washington Mall

Matt segued, and I am easily distracted. :)
McCarthy’s spineless exit speech nailed it down for me. I am glad he’s gone.
saying (in effect) “I will never be afraid to do the right thing” mean he has no clue why he just had his a$$ handed to him.
You didn’t do the right thing, McCarthy... You didn’t keep your word.
“In every compromise between good and evil it is ONLY evil that benefits.” McCarthy compromised with the evil, while not keeping his word.

WOW I love this article. And here is a great companion piece by the same author. Why have I never heard of this guy? I’m ashamed.
Good read and spot on.
I look forward your future thread (when declassified) that explains what your group did and what new discoveries were made.
It is long past time to do that.
“BYRON DONALDS for one!”
I agree he’d be best. But has he officially thrown his hat in the ring? Last night the news reported four, and he wasn’t one of ‘em. I hope he does!!
Fie! on Jordan and Scalise...
I know it’s difficult to accept
that you have an addiction
to narrative control cubicle sprinkled doughnuts
that are lethal to you and your fellow citizens
and that you must kick that addiction
before it kills you,
us
and the whole damn world,,,
But try.
“You didn’t do the right thing, McCarthy... You didn’t keep your word.”
I expect he actually DID keep his word — but not to US.
“Were you surprised to hear Kevin McCarthy let Pelosi and Hoyer keep their exclusive hideaway offices?
Well I’m hearing it was b/c he bad a secret deal with Pelosi where she guaranteed enough Democrat votes for KM if a Motion to Vacate ever came up”
So the future of the entire country, good or bad, rests on which office congressmen get to occupy. That’s reassuring.
McCarthy sucked. People who have angst over this need a life.
I’m no fan of McCarthy, but Trump hasn’t kept his word on many things either.
Here’s a great example…

Trump’s going to get a complete pass on that whopper, though right?
Well, we can say the programs discovered the third Van Allen radiation belt and were able to predict the Temporal F-layer of the outer atmosphere, which was at the time was seemingly random.
Remember....No plan survives the first contact with the enemy.
When you are being butt raped by a huge RINO, the first plan of action is to kill the RINO. Get it?
LOL!
I like fiscal conservatism.
It’s going to take time to unwind the mess that all have contributed to.
Sounds like you don’t ascribe to those views.
Know your place. :)
Re: 29 - Gaetz is a big spending kick-the-can-down-the-road Republican.
You know that, right?
The criminals in Congress only know how to kick the can down the road... then they tell us, ‘Now isn’t the time to address this thing’
Sharona I guess?
