Ron DeSantis hauls in $15 million in past three months, moves presidential campaign staff to Iowa

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis brought in $15 million in fundraising over the past three months for his Republican presidential campaign.

The DeSantis campaign also confirmed to Fox News that it is moving staff from Florida to Iowa, where the Jan. 15 caucuses lead off the GOP presidential nominating calendar.

"This significant fundraising haul not only provides us with the resources we need in the fight for Iowa and beyond, but it also shuts down the doubters who counted out Ron DeSantis for far too long," campaign manager James Uthmeier said in a statement.

But the $15 million haul over the past three months is less than the $20 million raised by DeSantis during the second quarter of fundraising

They are free to continue to run, but there is nothing noble about their efforts to do so.

What do I think is the prudist course of action? Well if their desire is to see a Republican in the white House, then the sooner the party unifies behind the nominee the better.

However, its pretty clear, this is NOT the goal of any of them, or more importantly, its not the goal of the establishment donors who are the puppet masters of these folks.

Some of these folks will never concede, until there isn’t a penny left to spend, and even then they may not because they are in this solely to attempt to harm Trump as much as possible and his chances in the General Election because, that in reality is what the establishment uniparty money men and GOP establishment want. They are more than happy to have a Uniparty Democrat administration than a Republican one where it isn’t the “right kind” of Republican.

So, we will continue with this clown show, of a “primary”, where the establishment continues its denial, and acts as though any of their actions will matter, and that there is actually some other outcome possible than Trump being the nominee. Even though everyone knows that’s not the case, and with each passing debate, look more and more ridiculous.

In January IOWA will have its caucuses, and because of the crazy nature of those its possible (but not likely) that someone other than Trump might win them... which if it happens will sold as some grand sign that the people don’t want him and he can be stopped by the establishment, and if that happens for the next 2-3 weeks the media will try to sell this thing as a race... and then the real direct primary votes start coming in, and Trump will run the board... (In all honesty, he’ll most likely take IA as well handily).... and on or before March 19th (At the latest), only the true pit bull nevertrump candidates will have not conceded...and will keep limping along irrelevantly as long as establishment donors keep cutting checks, screaming whatever anti Trump nonsense they can make up...

Personally, once the voting starts coming in and Trump runs the table in state after state, the longer each of them stick around, the more obvious it is their intent is not “to provide an option” but to simply try to stop/harm Trump... and long term damage to their individual brands will grow.

Desantis has already destroyed ANY chance of ever being President by this run IMHO.. Voluntary took himself from an almost certain front runner in 2028 to absolutely never going to be a serious candidate.

So after all that, they are free to continue to run, but the longer they do the more evident it becomes their end goal is not to see a Republican in the white house, but merely to make sure the “wrong kind” of Republican does not enter it.

Well, I am not in Florida, so I can’t say how the next gubernatorial election will go, but its pretty obvious when it comes to the Presidential Primary election there in March, Desantis will get crushed... which is why, Desantis will almost certainly have dropped out before 3/19 so he doesn’t have to face the humiliation of being a sitting governor who lost their home state huge in a primary.

I will say the transparency of the swamp behavior in Florida around this topic is going to have some sort of blowback. I mean, hey, lets change the laws so Desantis can run, lets change another law for him to be able to travel or whatever it is.. etc etc etc.. These sorts of things are absolute SWAMP behaviors... Oh we have this law, and we believe in it and its good, but you know its in our way right now, so we’ll tweak of modify it just this once....

Desantis has been oversold from the start, this is a guy who is a terrible retail politician. He’s a smart guy and a competent, and an argument could be made highly competent administrator, but he would have lost to a corrupt drug addict had Trump not swooped in to carry him over the finish line... and his 20 point re-election or whatever it was... everyone always leaves out that this victory was over Crist... a man who is absolutely hated in Florida, no one wanted or wants him... A turncoat former governor... Anyone, and I do mean ANYONE would have beating Crist huge.

That isn’t to say Desantis didn’t deserve re-election, but that “big win” has to be put into context, and a HUGE part of that context was who he was running against.

Trump's endorsed Speaker. Wouldn't even lift a finger as 8 clowns + 100% of Democrats voted him out. Apparently, McCarthy was such an ineffective leader that not even a handful of Democrats would vote to keep him in his job. What a backstabbing skunk.

Yeah, it’s pretty obvious you’re a Democrat. Whether you’ll cop to it or not is another matter. But, you’re serving your purpose of dragging this once great site as far left as you can.

Then why don’t you and Trump man up and leave the party then, instead of being such obvious moochers?

All Trump has done is thrown the country to the Democrats.

Since Trump, the GOP has gone from:

34 to 26 governorships

68 to 57 state legislative chambers

241 to 222 House seats

52 to 49 Senate seats

1 President to no President

He’s a LOSER.

Your stats are from 2016 to 2020? You think '20 election was real?

Which POTUS was as successful as Trump? Look at what Trump accomplished:

  1. Gas price per gallon was about $2.30;

  3. Unemployment was low before Covid and before Blue Governors shut everything down and we were in the midst of a V-shape recovery until January 22, 2021;
  4. Tax decrease; tax laws promoted small businesses as well as large;
  5. US enjoyed energy independence - No Green Agenda, no war on energy, No Paris Treaty;
  6. No war in Ukraine, no threat of nuclear war, NATO paid its way;
  7. China was quiet and we were winning the trade war;
  8. US companies were bringing home the jobs due to well executed tax treatments;
  9. Peace in the Middle East aka Abraham Accords; US Embassy moved to Jerusalem; and Iran was isolated.
  10. Got three non-left “I don't know what a woman is” Supreme Court Justices on the bench allowing Roe vs Wade to be overturned.

Who the heck can accomplish the above in four years while being impeached twice and investigated by Obama's Weaponized Agencies?

I would ask you -- isn't this the standard backlash each President gets in his second term? Obama came on a Democrat wave, but 2 to 4 years later, the Democrats were losing governorships and legislative chambers as well as House and Senate races

And Bush before him had the same in his second term.

Look at what Trump accomplished

Republicans holding both Houses of Congress in 2017 and 2018 had as much to do with all that as Trump. You make him out as some superhero when we saw how pathetic he was once the Congress was lost. 2020 was the worst year in America since Carter’s last year and Trump had a lot to do with it. And he’s been even worse since then. The man is a walking disaster at this point. All he has is his tough talk, but talk is cheap, especially when you haven’t delivered anything of value in years.

No, because as horrible as Biden is, he hasn’t caused it to flip back. Trump is single handedly leading the destruction of the Republican party, but more importantly, true conservatism. It’s all about nationalism now, and a big strong government that can’t afford itself.

Ryan, who tells Alberta that he viewed his retirement as an “escape hatch” to get away from Trump, plays up the “adults in the room” myth, suggesting his deference allowed him to steer Trump on a better course. “I told myself I gotta have a relationship with this guy to help him get his mind right,” Ryan recalls. “Because, I’m telling you, he didn’t know anything about government…I wanted to scold him all the time. Those of us around him really helped to stop him from making bad decisions. All the time,” Ryan continues. “We helped him make much better decisions, which were contrary to kind of what his knee-jerk reaction was. Now I think he’s making some of these knee-jerk reactions.”

Starting 2016 with the GOP at the highest percent of all offices held since the 1920’s.

2020 GOP 27-0 in House toss ups-what a loser.

Trump GOAT endorsement record US hjstory-what a loser.

Under Obama Dems lost 1100 offices breaking Bush’ record by 600.

In 2016 the GOP started at the highest numbers in almost 100yrs.

The 1920’s are the only time the GOP had more power.

Absent 90% of industry/institution/billionaires/wealthiest men ever colluding and conspiring to rig elections who knows if the subsequent moderate and expected losses were really losses
