I don’t see now how this can be fixed. The damage is done.
Unless... Trump decides to save the situation, and candidates to become Speaker of the House. I don’t see another solution.
So if THAT was the plan, then I say WOW, bravo!
But, if this is NOT the plan... shame on Gaetz having partly destroyed the Republicans (and himself with the sinking ship).

I don’t have any connections to the House or Gaetz, but I bet I know what the follow up plan he has in mind is — select a new Speaker.

Gaetz called out a duplicitous speaker who broke his promises and gave the store away to the left without using the power of the purse to halt America’s descent.
It is unnecessary to provide a full solution before calling out a wrongdoing or problem. In fact that is the way the process starts.
If there are other honest patriotic souls in Congress they can now work together to reach a consensus. If not then Matt Gaetz did his part and we are better off for the sunlight he provided.
If you prefer admiring the sunset from the Titanic sipping wine, to making waves and maybe surviving I feel only pity.
Kinda as irresponsible as a governor who never had a chance choosing to prance around the country because someone told him to run for president and he is trying to grab the power when he cant even manage his state and he is alienating many who just re-elected him?
Oh and also he couldhave stopped thousands of illegals from entering his state but instead he lets them roam around commitiing crimes and just for sh’ts and giggles he ships some illegals to other states to make it seem he’s doing something, when really he’s harming Citizens of other states by doing so. Is that not a crime? Is that the sort of irresponsibility you mean?
Gaetz did the difficult correct thing.
Mccarthy was held accountable. We need more of it in all states on Fed and state level seat holders.
