Because there would not have been a Vote on McCarthy if he had kept his word to his
Conference.

Nope. There is a common denominator.

The vote was 216 to 210, 426 total, in a House with 435 members ... they didn't all vote ... and could have saved McCarthy if they did. If I heard the role correctly, Pelosi did not vote. Interdasting!

The question was why aren’t people stampeding to them?

If the public wants freebie socialism they would be moving to the most lavish freebie socialist states.

The reality is if they cleaned up the elections-the Dems risk becoming a boutique party of the coastal elites and little else-despite being the obv party of freebies aka socialism.

He didn’t even put on a defense. There was a jury. It happened decades ago. A capable defense and it would at worst been a hung jury. There were Freeper lawyers who said they couldn’t understand it.

Does he have some judges who are against him, and should recuse themselves? Yes. But at the best of times, it’s hard to maneuver a judge. But you have to be slick.

So many disgraceful wimply posts here by people who should be proud of Gaetz and the few who stood tall.

This is the first spark of life in the GOP... the real GOP. Not the butler-to-the-democrats GOP that I have been ashamed and infuriated by since the 70s.

Disgusting that finally some spine and guts displayed by a few principled real Republicans like Gaetz, and half or more of the posters here are whining and whimpering about how this is fracturing the party.

So much more than this small start is going to be needed for us to save the US from being overrun by communism and atheism.

So much more than this...

But start NOW, please, at least, by backing these brave few who stood bravely in the way of everyone else who wanted to surrender the border to foreign malefactors, dissolve the currency and bankrupt the country, erase Christianity and Judaism from our culture, and enslave our children and grandchildren.

Leaving the whole world enslaved.

People should support Gaetz and company. They will be known by historians forever for this.

The speaker pro tempore is limited.

"Pending such election, the member acting as speaker pro tempore may exercise such authorities of the Office of Speaker as may be necessary and appropriate to that end," the rules state."

What are the limitations of his power?

Hmm interesting there are 2 vacant seats currently so that leaves 7 non votes. I am trying to look them up now but not having any luck yet

It happened decades ago.

The accuser offered no proof that any rape ever occurred and could not even pinpoint a year it supposedly happened. The jury did not find Trump guilty of raping her, but still thought he should pay $5 million.

Yes. Exactly. All his lawyer needed was to put on a defense, for the jury to hang their hat on.

“Does anyone really think any Dem will vote for any GOPer that may run for Speaker? Not likely. And who can garner all the GOP votes with such a slim majority.”

So, we get another RINO. Might as well not keep the one we had and try again.

How am I melting down? Over what?

Aren't nevertrumpers people who believe Trump is too conservative. I have never said or thought that.

You're just mad because McCarthy lost.
