You don’t drown in quicksand. It’s important to know the facts. Surprisingly your statement is rich in irony. But you don’t perceive it. As Rush said, words mean things.
There are only 8 republicans to disapprove of the McCarthy-Pelosi collusion.
Or maybe they just have a different opinion. Love people quoting Reagan. Remember he had the 11th commandment. This shall not speak ill of a fellow republican. Reagan is drowning at the moment.
The speaker pro tem has literally no legislative authority nor the full power of the speaker of the house. It was created not too long ago as a placeholder I’m case the unthinkable happens relative to a simultaneous opening of the POTUS and the VPOTUS. It is his only function.
I am amazed at all the name calling and complete lack of facts. We in fact at the moment have a serious constitutional crisis.
Gaetz who won his personal battle had simply lost the war. For all of us.

Reminds of the history I read of the nascent republic, it was very messy back then. We need another revolution.

I’m with you here in Alberta. There’s no coming back, it’s a rough ride down to the bottom, might as well be entertained.
In all seriousness though, it was over a long time ago, and it’s just taken Albertans and Americans this long to figure that out. They need something to happen, they know we have it figured now.
It’s very cute that you think there’s anything anyone can do at this point. As another poster noted, it’s all over. There is no coming back. By spring it’ll be a trillion a day of debt added a day. There are not enough Americans with the stomach to do what needs doing, and everyone will ride the train right into the gorge still yelling at each other about who should drive the train.
Hopefully 20 or so states will unhitch from the train and succeed to secede.
It’s not quitting. It’s reality. It’s not being stuck in delusion that it can be fixed and looking and prepping for ways to survive. It’s done, it has been for a while. There is no coming back. There is no coming back here in Alberta either. We have too many people that got in that don’t value our way of life and want it all, topped with out of control spending. The commies have infiltrated for years and nobody stopped them. Complacency and sheer inept behaviors have got us here. We are fighting a proxy war against Russia with which we never should of been involved in, but the powers need to be. Heaven forbid we figure it out and storm the walls and force everyone out. It all needed to be restarted long ago, but now they have the manpower and the will to quell anything anyone does. Welcome to the new normal, hope you have land and friends, but most importantly, I hope you have God.

Too many people are worried about the immediate. They can’t accept their worldview is either challenged or just wrong this entire time. Most people cannot accept they’ve been lied to about just near everything. Unless one has a strong faith in God and a strong sense of discernment, they fall to the lies.
What you said is all true, and you didn’t even get it all yet. It’s bad enough with what you posted, but it’s even far worse. We’re in for the roughest ride. Most people though will keep going and voting R, complaining and whinging. The time to really act (at least in very recent history) was in 2009 when an openly non American got to be president then proceeded to destroy everything. I knew then when nobody lifted a finger that it was done.
Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Northern BC would join that in a heartbeat. Economic powerhouse overnight, but the powers that be, not just here but globally would never allow it. It would be a fight.
Ok, peacefully or not. I am good either way.
