The border patrol folks don’t get paid either during a shut down.

Because they are so afraid of the corporate media and Democratic messaging machine

You are so right. The Republicans care more about what the press says about them than what the American people think about them. They can see the polls- the people will support them-screw rage press.

"I give you permission to allow Trump to save McCarthy’s job if the Repukes are able to put an end to the primaries right now and start going after Biden."

Oh, I am sure they are giving your grant of authority here the attention it deserves.

“He should have never won the speakership to begin with.”

************

You are so correct. McCarthy is what he is and was a controversial choice from the get go. His duplicity comes as no surprise.

McCarthy had 8 months to do something, yes I understand whatever he tried would have died in the Senate, I get that, but at least TRY he didnt even try..make a bill in the house do something that does NOT involve raising the debt ceiling and if it dies in the senate, fine, but at least do something..Garland is still there, Mayorkis is still there, if the Dems had power everyone in the Trump administration would have already been impeached

obviously I’m joking, I know they don’t listen to the will of the people :P.

I don’t really have a dog in the fight. It’s fun to watch Gaetz blow it all up because in the end, he’s right, It’s all one party but for a handful of people, if that.

So what’s the end game? Who will come out with enough Republican support to be Speaker?

I predict now that they know Democrats will vote to oust, there will be a lot more Republicans.

He did not keep any promises so far. He needs to be punished for that.

That's not true. He started out strong after a contentious string of votes to be the Speaker. I don't know what happened after that but he veered hard to the left since his strong start. I guess the RINO GOPe in him took over. I remember being optimistic about his term as Speaker for a while.

Cutting to the chase, I am for shutdowns...they are instructive and excellent conditioning for the inevitable, real deal shutdowns that must eventually come. As for concerns relating to losing the House etc., what difference does it make if we continue to spend ourselves to death.

I am tired of Rino promises to fight tomorrow. Sadly, based on the strength of the applause I'm hearing on C-SPAN, I'd say McCarthy will survive as Speaker.

Still need to know who will replace McCarthy and that the Republican Conference will support.

If McCarthy chooses to run again, I doubt anyone with any real support would oppose him. He does have a great deal of support within the caucus. So, I think he will probably win again, after several votes like last time. Hopefully, this process will take some of his arrogance away, and that he will be tougher on Democrats.

I think McCarthy's real problem with the conservatives in the House is that he sees his role as someone who "gets things done". He's not concerned about the inefficiencies, he just wants to keep the doors open and the lights on, regardless of the cost. Meanwhile, there are a few in Congress who do care about the details. They look at decades of financial mismanagement in order to keep the government open has created a situation where we have bad social policies, and are on a road to economic ruin.

I agree. If people are not held accountable it’s open season on the American people. Playing the games as some want to do means that the left wins and Americans are bought & sold like cattle for the elites’ purposes. Better expose the rot and clean house, put the fear of God into the uni-party carpetbaggers.

Agree. McCarthy simply is not a leader.

Like you, I respect people who at least try. One thing for sure...its hard to score any points when you’re always playing defense and making excuses which is what McCarthy is all about.

Even Rep. Matt Gaetz and his wife Ginger Luckey went out all out, decked in pink for a screening on Monday while out west for the Aspen Security Forum. What’s your problem???

Mrs Gaetz take on the movie from instagram

Thinking about watching the Barbie movie?
I’d recommend sticking to getting outfit inspiration and skipping the theater. Here’s why:

The Barbie I grew up with was a representation of limitless possibilities, embracing diverse careers and feminine empowerment.
The 2023 Barbie movie, unfortunately, neglects to address any notion or faith or family, and tries to normalize the idea that men and women can’t collaborate positively (yuck).

“to destroy Republican majority in the house”

False. We’ll still have the majority, even if McCarthy is ousted as speaker.

McCarthy ain’t no king. He serves at the pleasure of the House membership, and they ain’t too pleased.

Yes, the hysteria of needing to rally around McCarthy is laughable.
