Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) took aim at Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-N.Y.) for his “childish action” in pulling the fire alarm ahead of the House passing a stopgap measure to fund the government before the deadline.
Bowman pulled the fire alarm Saturday, causing the building to be evacuated ahead of the Sept. 30 deadline to fund the government. While Bowman has maintained it was an accident, McCarthy says that as a former school principal, the New York Democrat should know better.

Dems would just claim it was an act of political speech protected under the Speech and Debate clause.
So when are you kicking him off Committees?
When are you filing the motion to expel him?
When are you referring him to the DOJ for prosecution?

We will see how the DOJ treats this. Whether there is one law like they claim. Whether both sides are treated the same or not.

Under D.C. law, it is a misdemeanor and punishable by up to six months in prison and a $1,000 fine. Falsely pulling a fire alarm could also constitute illegal obstruction of congressional proceedings, a felony under federal law 18 U.S.C. § 1505

Not a childish action, an adult crime. If he isn’t prosecuted why should anyone else be?

Apparently this is acceptable behavior and should be done several times a day by all.
That’s a good point. Parents can start suing school systems for suspending their kids for pulling fire alarms.

It’s dangerous to set a precedence of, say, expulsion or limiting voting rights, etc. Such a precedence would certainly be used later by Democrats. I’m thinking a fine; something significant.
We have so many people in government who are obviously not operating as normal people. We also need some way of testing and having it done in public so there can be no doubt that they passed or failed. Perhaps having them climb a set of stairs?
Kevin is a rough tough cream puff. Pretty strong words coming out of Mrs. Luntz’s pie hole.
