I told everyone, on that thread about how Newsome was going to pick SPARKLES, that that was a load of tosh/absolute bollicks and some mental midget ( I don't remember the nic ), told me off, called me names, and generally insulted me.

I hope that he sees this, because I was correct, most posters were wrong, and I'm having the last laugh now! LOL

I think Meghan was just running a little PR campaign there. She saw an opportunity to get her name in the news for a couple of days, and took it.

I had read that at one point, Meghan was campaigning so hard to be on the short list of consideration for that spot, she was calling Gov. Newsom’s office multiple times every day in the week. It got so bad, Gavin had to tell his office to BLOCK any calls by Meg, or anyone calling herself
“The Duchess”.

Can you imagine living with someone like that?

I’m a Californian and said the same thing -repeated constantly that SCHIFF WAS NOT GOING TO BE NEWSON’S PICK FOR SENATOR. I caught hell for it too.

The other senator Newsom picked was Alex Padilla - to appease his Latino base, the next pick HAD to be black, female and LGBTQ - preferably all three, which she is.

Newsom promised to pick a black woman in 2021 to Feinstein’s seat - and kept his promise.
