I’m a Californian and said the same thing -repeated constantly that SCHIFF WAS NOT GOING TO BE NEWSON’S PICK FOR SENATOR. I caught hell for it too.
The other senator Newsom picked was Alex Padilla - to appease his Latino base, the next pick HAD to be black, female and LGBTQ - preferably all three, which she is.
Newsom promised to pick a black woman in 2021 to Feinstein’s seat - and kept his promise.
I’m sorry that others went after you, too, for posting facts/the truth instead of speculation. Sadly, a lot of posters like to post about things that they know nothing at all about and understand even less. And then they attack others who actually KNOW what they are talking about.
