I used to work on a government facility where sensitive materials were fairly common.

They had a machine that looked on the outside like a countertop pizza oven, but was a powerful magnetic field generator.

You would open the fold down door, slide the item to be erased in, floppy disks and tapes were common back then, close the door and press a button.

In one second the entire contents of the item, disk, tape, hard drive, whatever, were erased and scrambled beyond any possibility of recovery.

And this was in the early 90’s. I’m sure they have even better stuff now...........

its an apple mac, guess all the date is in the cloud and recoverable. unless the female body inspectors told apple to nuc the date off the cloud.
