Former National Security Adviser John Bolton warned voters on Tuesday that a second term in the White House for former President Donald Trump could trigger a constitutional crisis in the country.
Bolton said his issue with a possible second term, should his former boss win reelection in 2024, is that the second Trump presidency could bring down major United States institutions by driving major leaders to resign.
One of the greatest dangers that a second Trump term brings would be a constitutional crisis," Bolton told CNN's Jake Tapper. "Who is he going to nominate to be attorney general, and [what happens] when the attorney general gives an order from Trump, they say no, and they resign, and the entire Department of Justice begins to resign? What happens when he gives illegal orders to the career military, and they start to resign?”

Yes, because having a President who respects the Constitution would be a crisis for those who don’t.
Why? because he says so?
All these people do is engage in name-calling with no logical reasons to back up their idiotic claims
I used to like Bolton... But he’s a mess now.
Captain Kangaroo needs to retire.......................
Ironic he is worried about a “constitutional crisis” if unconstitutional agencies and positions aren’t foing to be filled.
What a jackass too. All the unconstitutional BS from thos chomo in the whitehouse is just dandy.
I don’t see a downside to this.
Bears repeating
Stolen elections are a Constitutional Crisis.
he says that like its a bad thing
i call it
draining the swamp
how much is the arshat getting paid to ignore the current crisis?
Second one of these chicken little pieces today.
We already have a Constitutional Crisis but nobody in power cares about the Constitution and its limited government and checks and balances and co-equal branches and rule of law and all that jazz.
No, the ol’ Const. is a bogeyman word they toss around to scare the plebes.
Taking flak means you’re over the target, Don
Let me guess. Bolton considers it illegal to tell Milley "we're not going to do that" when Milley wants to launch an operation against Iran?
I am actually hoping President Trump either locks up these quisling war mongers in GITMO or exiles the whole bunch to Afghanistan or Syria.
The fact that former Trump Cabinet members are often his most vocal deep-state critics makes clear to me that in 2016 Trump simply did NOT understand how Washington DC works, nor did he grasp the depth of the swamp, the size of the deep-state and its collective power.
In Trump’s defense, no one did.
Now that the deep-state is out in the open, if Trump somehow manages to get elected and take office, it will be total warfare with the deep-state.
“the second Trump presidency could bring down major United States institutions by driving major leaders to resign.”
So what’s the downside? 😉
Actually no it would not. You could fire half the US Federal Government today and the country would be much much better off.
All most the US Feds do is add a layover of useless agencies on top of things the States can mange just fine
Dolton, you dumbolt, the constitutional crisis involving Trump started 5 years ago.
Yes, the Deep State will try to depose him again. Like they did with JFK.
I used to like Bolton too, but I changed. I don’t think he changed. He’s still the same neocon warmonger he has always been. However, my change wasn’t a change in principles. I have thrown the shackles of gullibility and no longer listen to the advice of those that have lied to the American people.
We've got a CIC who has been caught red-handed taking bribes from all over the world. He is owned lock, stock and barrel by Ukraine, China, Mexico and many other countries.
I can't believe he's worried about TRUMP precipitating a "constitutional crisis" when we are in the middle of an extremely serious one TODAY.
