Not true. Sorry. “Natural born” had a well established meaning in English law. The founders used it understanding what it meant. The definition YOU are arguing for came about AFTER the Constitution, following a bad translation of Vattel into English.

vattel was 1749 and I believe Jefferson was familiar with the French writer.

The nationality of the father is common in many countries and goes back to Roman and Greek times IIRC.

Why would the founders want the son of a British citizen to be commander in chief especially after two wars? I think the letter between Washington and Jay puts your argument to rest.

What we need is for the USSC to grow a pair and issue a ruling.
