I believe if you are the child of foreigners regardless of location of birth you are not a Natural Born Citizen. I rely on a letter from Washington and John Jay about who should be commander and historically the father or both parents determined when some one was a NBC.

i believe the ability to have dual or choices means you are no exclusively natural born to be a US citizen. Like Obama and his Kenyan/British citizen father.

That means Jindal Obama Harris Haley and V are not qualified to run.

If the USSC says I am wrong i will change my mind depending on their reasoning.

Not true. Sorry. “Natural born” had a well established meaning in English law. The founders used it understanding what it meant. The definition YOU are arguing for came about AFTER the Constitution, following a bad translation of Vattel into English.

In Europe in the 18th century and prior, people stayed in their own countries. Families assumed positions in society and the jobs descended from one generation to the next.

Have you wondered why most common English surnames are jobs? Baker, Cook, Cooper, Smith, Butcher, Fletcher, Butler, Fisher, Gardener, Hunter, just to name a few examples.

And then there is the suffix -son to a name, like Johnson - son of John.

These come from cultures (like early monarchies) where the people were subjects and families filled a place in society. A village only needed one smith, and the son of Smith became the next smith, and so on and on.

In the United States, our Founders came from these places (or their parents did), but they wanted a nation of laws and not of men (Kings). Citizens were descended from citizens, not from the land. That meant that foreigners were welcome, but they had to become citizens (naturalized) first, and then their children who were born would be born from citizens, too, making them natural born citizens while their parents are not.

So it's not that foreigners can never have children who are natural born citizens (or Trump would never be a citizen since his mother was born in Scotland), but once they become a citizen their future children become natural born citizens.
