Gov. Kathy Hochul on Wednesday warned that New York is “at capacity,” and urged newly arrived migrants to settle someplace else — as the Biden administration cleared the way for Venezuelan migrants to get work permits.
Hochul told NY1 that granting Temporary Protective Status to and expediting work permits for thousands of Venezuelans who entered the US before July 31 is “an important first step,” in getting expedited work status for all migrants.
But the governor warned that New York is “at capacity” and suggested that migrants who have arrived since July 31 consider other cities to settle in.
“We have to let people know that if you’re thinking of coming to New York, we are truly out of space,” she said.

Gee whiz, that happened rather fast. And yet more are coming. The progressives like their ideas because they sound "nice," and then complain when "nice" turns to nasty.
Suburban and rural America have no "services" for the economic migrants, so the obvious answer is that simple sefl-serving and competition will drive more and more migrants into progressives' fiefdoms where "pay for me" has been the policy, politics and theology of the day.

A clear indication to Governor Abbott to keep those buses full and headed to NYC, Chicago, LA and other points north.
The small town of Eagle Pass Texas (pop. 29,000) is being inundated with 2000 illegals crossing the border EVERY DAY.
NYC (pop. 8.8 million and decreasing) has plenty of room with more room becoming available every day.
If the buttercup from Albany is jonesing for federal money, I propose it be done on a $/illegal basis. Texas would be getting so much federal money the left would crap pickles and NYC would be begging for more illegals.
