David’s family is Jewish. His Jewish American father’s family moved from Germany to the U.S. during the 19th century, while David’s mother was born into a Polish-Jewish family in Ternopil, now in Ukraine and her mother’s family name was revealed as Superfein.[11]
Interestingly, there’s a huge political divide between descendants of 1880-1930 Jewish immigrants and those who came after.
The more recent immigrants (from post war Europe) or the Soviet Union are generally extremely conservative.
This is true in Israel, too, where Russian and Ukrainian Jews have flipped Israel conservative.
I think it’s mainly bc the prewar group believed the lies from commies that they would end antisemitism. The postwar group know better.
And some of his ancestors were slaveowners.
And his TV wife Cheryl Hines is now RFK Jr.’s third wife.
