Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert called a pregnant woman “a sad and miserable person” after she asked the Republican lawmaker to stop vaping during the “Beetlejuice” performance that she and her date were later kicked out of on Sunday, according to a report.
The firebrand’s foul remark came after she had told the mom-to-be “no” when the fellow Denver theatergoer asked her to put her vaping pen down, the Denver Post reported Thursday.
“These people in front of us were outrageous,” the woman, who requested anonymity, told the newspaper.
“I’ve never seen anyone act like that before.”
The behavior of Boebert, 36, and her date — Democratic Aspen bar owner Quinn Gallagher, 46 — eventually led to their ejection from the Buell Theatre after fellow audience members complained the two were being loud.
Staffers accused the pair of vaping, singing, and recording during the show, the Denver Post previously reported.
The pregnant woman, who is in her 30s, said she didn’t know the woman in front of her was Boebert.
The fed-up woman, who was sitting behind the couple, went to ask an usher if there were any seats available away from the troublemakers.
“The usher said, ‘You’re not the first complaint we had,’” she told the outlet.
When the patron got back to her seats with her husband, Boebert reportedly lashed out, calling the woman “a sad and miserable person,” she recalled.

As she and Gallagher were being booted, Boebert allegedly said, “‘Do you know who I am,’ ‘I am on the board’ (and) ‘I will be contacting the mayor,’” according to an incident report.

Smoking/vaping around any pregnant woman is bad form. If they were vaping pot, thats worse.

Congress is just a stepping stone to advanced personal enrichment opportunities. Really not much about serving your constituents or the country.
Really? Believe everything the media and their supporters write? There’s a lot of in this story that doesn’t pass the smell test. The media long knives have been out after this gal for awhile now.
I’m not saying this story is not true, but it seems like another case of the media hyping mud thrown on the wall hoping it sticks. I will wait before I “pounce” or jump on this story, wise people would do the same.

Yes, she almost beat Loretta Lynn on become a grandmother at 34. Boebert just became one at 36 thanks to her 17 year old son knocking up his girlfriend.
I think Boebert should consider spending more time with her family and working on her parenting skills, though sounds way too late.

I don’t know what’s worse - that she acted like a b__tch to an old lady or that she actually bought a ticket to see one of the insipid, live action performances of Beetlejuice.
This is yet another example of the uneven playing field. Democrats can get away with almost anything. Republicans can get away with almost nothing.
So Republicans need to be much more careful to avoid damaging their brand. It’s very unfair. But it’s also reality. Be careful. Behave honorably.
Evidently Boebert did not do that here.
Boy ain’t that the truth. Boebert is definitely wild, but she isn’t much worse than most of the scum in Congress. She is just out there while others do their naughty stuff behind our backs.
Like that little fund to pay off people who some Congress critters messed around with that we asked for. We never received who was on that list of clowns that used the payoff funds.
For some, when it becomes convenient for an agenda. You'll note the overlap with 'never Trump'.
I'm in the camp of Boebert is in danger of flaming out and she might consider a little humility--both the Left and never Trumpers (really anymore the difference between the two is increasingly indistinguishable) would join in common cause to exploit missteps.
