Florida’s Governor says the United States has every right to execute people crossing the Mexican border if they seem to be members of “drug cartels.”
During a recent “tele-town hall” with supporters, Gov. Ron DeSantis said the American government is “entitled” to take such action.
“Some of the things that we’ve already highlighted as part of our agenda, our border policy, I’m the only one that’s willing to send the military to the border and to use deadly force against the Mexican drug cartels,” DeSantis said. “We’re entitled to do it. They’re killing tens of thousands of our fellow Americans.”
“And so our message for the Mexican cartels is if you break into our country and you try to run drugs when I’m President, it would be the last thing you do because you’re going to end up stone cold dead at the border.” DeSantis added.
The Governor has vowed to render certain border crossers “stone cold dead” already in the 2024 cycle, including during a June town hall in Hollis, New Hampshire.
“If these cartels are breaking into a wall and cutting a piece out of the wall and moving product in, that’s going to be the last thing that those people have ever done because they’re going to end up stone-cold dead,” DeSantis said to applause.
He made the same threat in Texas the same month.
“If somebody were breaking into your house to do something bad, you would respond with force. Yet why don’t we do that at the Southern border? So if the cartels are cutting through the border wall, trying to run product into this country, they’re going to end up stone-cold dead as a result of that bad decision,” DeSantis declared.
DeSantis has also suggested drone strikes may be an appropriate cross-border response to illegal crossers from Mexico.
“We will absolutely reserve the right if they’re invading our country and killing our people,” DeSantis said earlier this month in Iowa.
DeSantis has an aggressive immigration agenda that includes completing the border wall, sending U.S. troops into Mexico to combat cartels, and ending birthright citizenship — the guarantee that those physically born in the United States are granted citizenship, regardless of whether their parents are U.S. citizens.
This tough talk is just another re-introduction. All focus-group approved. Not genuine.

The US military protects everyone else’s borders except our own. Why is that?

If they’re crossing illegally, which by definition they are, then they are invaders and our government has the right, and obligation, to repel invasion. I’m sure if Trump said exactly the same thing, you’d be all for it.

Listen to the clip I posted. After the debate DeSantis advisors started walking back DeSantis words, insisting that there would be military force only after the border was crossed. DeSantis proposed an illegal act that would precipitate a war with Mexico and then had an oops moment.

If the military is ever deployed to our border due to violence, the guns will be pointed north. People don’t seem to get it. American citizens are the enemy. Immigrants have all the rights.
So Biden puts out a welcome mat, fliers in Spanish, come and we will help you, give you money, healthcare, jobs, education etc. Then DeSantis starts shooting men, women, and children, who go through the many openings Biden has created in the border.
Not to mention sending special forces into Mexico to shoot Mexican citizens and demolish drug factories etc.
This sounds like a good idea to you? USA would be a rogue Nation. It sounds like a drug crazed recipe for disaster.
USA needs to close it’s borders; it needs to adopt a merit based immigration system and ratchet the quotas way down. We need to go back to supporting remain in Mexico and stop taking refugees from far away Nations. Some close Nation should take them and if US citizens deem it right send some support. But not take them in America.
US needs to deport, first for any criminal behavior in the USA or the home Country, cut out all welfare and benefits for non citizens. Making it difficult to freeload and cutting off the spigot of promises of support will cause a massive self deportation. Then we can mop up as necessary.
Major sentences for traffickers with return to their origin Country after prison & revocation of any citizenship granted to such persons. The scourge of problems from illegal immigration did not arise in a month, year, decade. The solution will also take time. It will not come from the rabid idea that we can slaughter our way out of the problem. It is stupid to suggest such a thing. If people are desperate they will risk being shot and we can never stop all of the holes in our porous border.
Take away the prize at the end of the journey and people will no longer take the risk.

Well that is true, but real life isn’t like the movies. You don’t get to gun a person down for being a suspect unless he threatens you life. Either way, the border agent ends up before a court and we know how that works.
If the donor class believes he actually would do this, then they would drop him, and he would have no resources to get himself elected.
This is what I am talking about with you. You fail to understand how this all works, which is why you make the wrong choices.
Bottom line, is that you have learned nothing, and why you always get excited about what people say. When the real key to understanding is, who is supporting them & the power that supporter wields. Because the person's supporters control the person being supported. The supporter is not looking for a leader, he is looking for the person he can control who will do his bidding for him. If he fails to do so, he will be crushed. That is how this really works. Start opening your eyes. Only then will you begin to see the reality.
That is why Trump garners so much support. He needs no donor class except for millions of the small donor class. That makes him free to do what the citizens desire.
When you start to understand this salient fact will you begin to understand why DJT is the only person who will work for you, period. Because the president of this nation is no longer the most powerful person in the world. Those who control him wield the power. The only way out is to get someone who is not controlled by anyone possessing that power.
Once you understand that you will see that the power of those opposing the president, have been using their powers to destroy Trump, and the sucker that you are means you are now willing to go against the only person you should be supporting.
For goodness sake man, wake up to this reality now. Because otherwise, you will be supporting the power you say you are trying to fight. How does one get through to you to make you understand?
