Bi-directional chargers? What a great idea! It allows your EV can drain faster than it already does.
Distributed flywheels? It would make more sense to put a Tesla Powerwall in every home which doesn't drive away to work. I would buy a Powerwall with a few solar cells well before I bought an EV, but things change fast these days.
It’s not about getting people into EVs. It’s about getting people out of their own cars (EVs, too) eventually. EVs are just the “hot new thing” they think will get folks out of their ICEs. Public transportation is supposed get people out of their expensive, unreliable, and short-range EVs.
