U.S. government to deploy surveillance software to detect 'problematic sentiment and emotion'

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), under the umbrella of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), has purportedly partnered with AI tech firm Fivecast to deploy social media surveillance software that, according to its proprietor, can detect “problematic” emotions of social media users and subsequently report them to law enforcement for further action.

According to a post on pjmedia.com, “Outlet 404, through FOIA requests, uncovered various Fivecast marketing documents elaborating on its software’s utility for law enforcement.”

404’s report on said documents stated:

Customs and Border Protection (CBP), part of the Department of Homeland Security, has bought millions of dollars worth of software from a company that uses artificial intelligence to detect ‘sentiment and emotion’ in online posts…

CBP also allegedly told 404 Media that it is “using technology to analyze open-source information related to inbound and outbound travelers who the agency believes may threaten public safety, national security, or lawful trade and travel. In this case, the specific company called Fivecast also offers ‘AI-enabled’ object recognition in images and video, and detection of ‘risk terms and phrases’ across multiple languages.

Who isn’t in favor of protecting national security? And Lord knows the Biden administration should do more something to vet and restrict “inbound travelers” at our southern border.

And yet…one is tempted to ask: What could go wrong? If the government is going to utilize surveillance software to more precisely ascertain our sentiments and emotions on social media, and then determine if they are “problematic,” how else will it use it? What other methods will it deploy to keep us from stepping out of line? And who determines what is “problematic,” anyway? (Okay, that’s an easy one. The elites that seek to utterly control us see as problematic any sentiment, emotion, or thought that could possibly be construed...

Damn the Patriot Act and all who supported it.

It is the genesis of what we see today.

When possible, avoid big box stores. Shop at an Ace Hardware store rather than Lowes or Home Depot. Eat out at an independent restaurant rather than a national chain. There are numerous alternatives to Amazon, albeit with slower delivery. Avoid Google or Bing and use smaller search engines. When available, buy food at farmers markets.

Our country is not going to be fixed in the next 27 days.

Our country is not likely to be fixed unless MAGA is implemented, which is going to take years.

In DC, most politicians refuse to support Make America Great Again. That’s an indication of how sick American politics is.

I know of no politician that has called for getting out from under the Refugee Convention - not Trump, not DeSantis, not Ramaswamy, and not MTG!

In fact, as far as I know, I’m the only blogger that has called for getting out from under the Refugee Convention.

No current politician I know of has called for low-cost hospitals owned by and run by surgeons & anesthesiologists.

“Hurricane Michael flattened the pine trees in 2018. All of them.”

I like the Florida pines, but I lost two big branches in the recent storm.

I think I should have grown live oaks on my residential property.

So, go on the surveilled (sp?) sites and talk about how you’ve heard that such and such opposition political candidate was doing something nasty.

Get them chasing their tails.

Live oaks can be a problem too. I have 14 live oak trees in my yard. I used to have 16, but Hurricane Ian uprooted two of them last year.

“They can’t lock us ALL up!”

I read a story about a Pennsylvania woman who is under house confinement after her J6 activity.

Remember economic resistance is our only realistic option.

American patriots can “take a bite out of” the DJI and NASDAQ Composite.

Consider the prosecution of Trump.

Oh you means the utterly unconstitutional investigation, accusations, indictments, and impeachments of Trump in violation of the Fourth Amendment because there was NO reasonable suspicion or probable cause of a crime being committed with which to justify an initial "investigation"?

Those illegal government acts? You don't budget for them, you nullify them and indict the perps for prosecutorial misconduct. How you nullify these particular acts against Trump is difficult because the Executive Branch is the perp and the Legislative Branch is lame. So you bring emergency certiorari to the Judicial Branch - the Supreme Court - who seemingly cares these day about some semblance of the Constitution.

Our country is not going to be fixed in the next 27 days.

Who said anything about "27 days"?

You have to start somewhere and Vivek is the only guy who is at least talking about dismantling the unconstitutional beast-portion of the federal government That is a good start and then get that states involved.

Remember that many DC political types have money in blind trusts.

If the indexes are going up, they sleep soundly.

If economic resistance sends those indexes or globalist stocks down, then the DC political types will have cause to worry.
