The New York City Police Department announced plans to fly surveillance drones over the city this Labor Day weekend to monitor outdoor parties or barbecues following complaints about large gatherings.

Assistant NYPD Commissioner Kaz Daughtry said at a press conference Thursday that the drones will respond to "non-priority and priority calls."

This past week relatives and friends throughout the N Bay Area (SF) reported hearing what sounded like big drones overhead and out of sight due to Coastal clouds over their homes.
This morning my wife/I and a couple of fellow walkers heard what could have been a large drone over our morning cloud cover.
We never saw the drone or whatever. We could hear a fairly large ICE engine during the flyover.
One fellow walker’s dog refused to come up our street while whatever was overhead. As the unseen drone/? passed over and headed east.
Comcast will be doing major updating in our area tomorrow from 6 am to ???.
They advised us that we could be with out internet and their phone service tomorrow.
Quiet, PCP air rifles will bring down that threat.....
