Friday, during an appearance on Fox News Channel’s “America Reports,” 2024 Republican presidential hopeful Vivek Ramaswamy said that not only could he win the 2024 presidential election, but he would win it in a “landslide.”
According to Ramaswamy, a landslide would be required to “reunite this country.”
"Where do you differentiate yourself with the former President Donald Trump?” “America Reports” co-host Sandra Smith asked.
“I’m 38 years old,” Ramaswamy replied. “I have fresh legs. We are reaching the next generation of young Americans. That is why I can win this election in a landslide in a way that no other candidate can. Look at the way we’re running this campaign. I have gone to the inner city of Chicago, Kensington in the middle of Philadelphia, places where traditional Republican candidates dare not touch.”

I dont think he could win very many primaries…let alone the general.
A little Vivek goes a long, long way.
So much for getting on President Trum0’s good side.
not a fan. He’s a child.
By fooling conservatives and garnering a substantial Democrat vote, then getting rid of aid to Israel, Taiwan, and dumping Hawaii.
While he’s busy destroying what is left of US foreign policy and alienating America’s allies, the (unopposed by NATO) Russians will go into the Baltics and the Chinese into Taiwan, with elements moving toward now orphaned Hawaii.
Send this ineligible character back to India.
I was replying to someone else who suggested the likelihood, and I neglected the doggone italics tags when I quoted.
My reply was along the lines of such a campaign would probably divert some Republican votes and draw in campaign contributions, implying that one or both of those would be his actual goal in such a case, rather than an actual expectation of winning.
As for Ramaswamy, his eligibility would depend on whether both his parents were naturalized at the time of his birth.
This subject of Natural Born citizenship comes up a lot on Free Republic.
Some Freepers say that both of your parents must have been a citizen at the time of your birth, for you to be a natural born citizen.
Other Freepers say that as long as you yourself were born in America that makes you a natural born citizen. Those Freepers argue that since such people are citizens without having to be naturalized, that means a they are natural born.
A thread the other day on this very subject had over 300 replies. People argued back and forth and presented evidence to support their point of view.
Some Freepers even said, why the heck are we even discussing this issue, because the courts are not going to stop any American born citizen from running for president.
There is no consensus on Free Republic as to what natural born citizenship means.
Did you know you posted the same post in post 45?
You can’t send him back to India, because he’s not from India.
Do facts matter to people here on Free Republic?
Yes I am aware of that. I thought it bears repeating.
Just as you think it bears repeating, that Vivek and others are not natural born citizens, I thought it bears repeating, that there is no consensus, among the erudite conservatives of Free Republic, as to what natural born citizenship really means.
“But nobody legally changed the rules. Obama got in by breaking the rules. That is not an excuse for Ramaswampy to break them as well.”
Obama’s handlers and he wanted the rules broken, but the one who broke the rules was Democrat Party deal maker Nancy Pelosi, who held the role of head of the Democrat Party.
Vivek Ramaswamy’s praise of Trump echoes Barack Obama’s praise of Pelosi. When other factors also line up, flattery will get you everywhere, or at least very far.

Chester Arthur, Barack Obama, and Kamala Harris do not qualify under the requirement that both parents be citizens. Neither does Ted Cruz, whose father was not a U.S. citizen at the time of his birth and who was born in Canada as well.
“Obama got in by breaking the rules.”
Did he though? Even if you believe that natural born citizen means something different from citizen from birth, was there a rule that both parents had to be citizens or that citizenship couldn’t pass through the mother as well as through the father?
Neither does Trump’s own son, Don Jr. Someone should ask Trump what he thinks of the FR-NBC clause.
Translation: “The elites want me to win so they will steal the election for me. *tee-hee*”
Nobody is required to buy your made-up definition of natural born citizen. Not even Trump buys it.
Don’t care send him back anyway he can run against Modi.
LOL. So you don’t care about facts. You admittedly don’t care about facts. Ok then.......
BALONEY!!!!
