True, but that was never a part of his music so it never bothered me. His music always brought me back to those college/early 20s carefree days.
I could say the same about (very) early Springsteen. I still like those 70s albums and play the frequently. They were devoid of politics and captured the life and times and feelings of a NJ blue collar kid. Good stuff! But sometime in the mid 80s his music became political and he began lecturing people from the stage with his 15 minute rants. That's when I hopped off the Springsteen bus. Plus his music, with the exception of a small handful of songs, just got boring.
Being disciple of that crowd, I wonder if his seaplane ever landed at Little St. James Island.
