Citgo said it discovered contaminated gas at the Port Tampa Bay terminal on Saturday as a result of a “product routing issue” and immediately ordered a shutdown of the fuel “rack,” or pipeline, that was mixing the diesel fuel with gasoline.

I did this to myself once, accidentally putting hi test in my John Deere diesel foerabout a 50/50 mix. It ran for 30 seconds on start up then died without so much as a pop. When cranked it just turned over like no fuel at all. I would have expected that gasoline to detonate like hell in that engine. I’ve seen gasoline engines run on a mix of gas and diesel. All they did was smoke.
