If MAGA supporters believed the arrest and arraignment of Trump would only increase his popularity (and they were right), then why would Trump and his people fear an early trial? Trump should want to vindicate and clear his name ASAP.
And if this show trial should return a conviction against Trump, wouldn’t that be as beneficial as the arrest (with glorious mugshot) at the Fulton County jail?
