Good luck out there. We just did a 5 hour drive with 2 dogs to go check on the MIL. Sounds like we’re the exact opposite of you. We have one of those back seat dog hammock things, which are great, and they literally fall asleep back there before we get out of the development, and pretty much sleep the whole way.

Glad the hurricanes screen got an early start today. In an hour, I see 1.5 hung, and many to go!

Of course, the dogs adore the car. The cats, however, are hell-on-wheels. They make sure that we are as miserable as they are for the whole drive. This usually includes a vengeful stinky poop as early as possible in the trip.

A little slower, a little more Easterly... definitely trending stronger, and with the majority of the weather on the E/SE side, that’s a lotta rain for the peninsula.

No doubt, 10-15 ft storm sure predicted now too.
NHC upgraded it to Cat 3 at landfall, its quickly ramping up, could get even stronger, stay tuned....

Prepper Ping - Tropical Storm Idalia - Gulf of Mexico expected to possibly increase to Catagory 3 Hurricane
Post #161 by NautiNurse is a map, whcich can be magnified, which indicates anticipated the wind speed of the storm.
The Storm/ Hurricane will affect the entire SouthEast States.
For those who may be impacted, remember the wind driven storm surge in coastal areas,
and if evacuating and area, anticipate low level areas which are prone to flooding.
