What crime did he commit?

Running for office and winning.

Daring to run again.

Questioning Biden’s win! You know, where Biden got more votes than Obama, 81,000,000, and that while barely campaigning, he is an enthusiastic public speaker and really
hits hard among women, Latino, black voters after all! Everyone knows Biden was lagging behind and then suddenly in the middle of the night pulled ahead in several states, all at the same time, and that this is entirely normal. How dare Trump question that election, it’s not like when Gore lost and questioned the outcome, or Hillary lost and questioned the outcome, because their questioning was legit, but Trump... Nope, Trump had no right questioning the results!!!

It’s absolutely scandalous that Trump would have the audacity to question the election outcome. Only Democrats are allowed to do that!

You had last second changes in policies and procedures because of Covid, more non-conventional votes than EVER before, but that doesn’t mean anything: https://www.eac.gov/blogs/vote-mail-trends-and-turnout-six-election-cycles-2008-2018

Even Jimmy Carter knows, mail in ballots and non-conventional votes are entirely secure and do not open the door for potential fraud: Carter-Baker report warned “Absentee ballots remain the largest source of potential voter fraud.”

In light of all the entirely normal circumstances, I do not know why Trump would question the election outcome. He just needed to accept whatever others say, who the media declared as the winner.
