Biotech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy has been slowly climbing in the presidential polls recently as his charismatic campaign for president begins to catch hold. But the biotech entrepreneur has made several rookie mistakes in recent days that call into question whether he’s ready for prime time on the campaign trail.
One thing that Ramaswamy has already mastered is a Trumpian ability to blame the media for “misquoting” him on occasion — even when it’s later discovered the media quoted him with deadly accuracy. For example, he claimed that the first time he voted was in 2020 when he voted for Trump. But after the Washington Examiner dug up records of him voting in 2004 in Ohio and confronted him about it, he tried to blame the Examiner for reporting on their own story.
“This is the most false & intentionally deceitful headline of the campaign so far,” Ramaswamy posted on social media in late July. This, despite previously telling the Washington Examiner over the phone when it brought the voting discrepancy to his attention, “I appreciate you smoking that out for me. That was actually useful.”
He used a similar tactic when he told Rupert Murdoch’s New York Post that he “would be open to evaluating pardons for members of the Biden family in the interest of moving the nation forward” if he were elected. But he then told Fox News, “No, I don’t have any plans to pardon Hunter Biden. It’s planted trash. When you strike the swamp, the swamp strikes back.”
It happens with such regularity you have to wonder if it’s deliberate. Most of the right hates and mistrusts the media anyway, and setting up a situation where you can call them liars is beneficial to a Republican candidate.

I saw somewhere yesterday that his name was on the WEF site but was very recently removed.
He’s auditioning for a cabinet position.
His Soros connection is very concerning as is his willingness to throw Israel out the window in a few years. Not the candidate for me.
Now that shouldn't be confused with other ways we can continue helping Israel. (i.e. sharing intelligence about the region, selling them upgraded tech for Iron Dome, getting telemetry from their Iron Dome activity so we can improve our own missile defense tech, etc.)
If nautical nonsense be something you wish....
So, among other things, supporters of Ramasamy, agree with ending support of Israel, agree with giving Taiwan to China, agree with disenfranchising 18-25 year olds, just for starters?
He’s a little smartass.
Why Vivek matters: (personally I do not trust Vivek)
Vivek will bypass DeSantis because he sounds like Trump
DeSantis folks and RINOs need to get rid of him
Trump will win the primary regardless with or without Vivek exposing how out of touch the RNC party is with the base.
The debate last night sounded no different than 2000, 2004, 2008, 2012 and 2016 except for Trump. It’s crystal clear that the war is not between dems and reps, it’s the RNC and it’s base. They have ZERO concern for what we want.
Listen to Rich Men North of Richmond, both parties are guilty and negligent.
Vivek isn’t Trump. Not by a longshot.
This group of people are worthless IMHO. Trump has the stuff they don’t.
Unknown to him they put him as a prospective member of one of their lists of future leaders. He wrote about it before he ever filed as a candidate as something presumptuous and unsolicited and about the difficulty he had in being removed. He also had a scholarship given to him as a student that was from a Soros relative's big scholarship fund -- he took the money without comment or endorsement, just like my son did on some scholarships he was awarded unsolicited.. Likewise, his legally talented immigrated parents, here legally became pregnant with him months prior to finishing their naturalization.
I have a problem with his too too prolific idea mongering, hell it is the executive branch and not the legislature, but his running him down falsely is so much intolerance of his ethnic background and religion ---bigotry.
I have watched the chief bigots against him on the forum certify they will vote Democrat/Socialist if he is the nominee. That tells me all I need to know.
He sure is taking alot of flak.
ISWYDT...................
Yup—there has been some wild debates here about the WEF connection including claims they he paid to have his Wikipedia biography scrubbed.
His religious views are a major issue for me—not because he is Hindu, which is an ancient religion I greatly respect—but because he is claiming to be a monotheist which is insulting to the Hindu tradition.
That suggests he has a lack of loyalty even to his own roots—a waving red flag.
Now, here’s what Ramaswamy isn’t against: selling weapons to Israel when Israel pays for those weapons.
This is part of an overarching principle for foreign aid. Ramaswamy doesn’t want to spend citizens’ tax dollars on foreign aid to nations that can pay their own way, and on programs that foreign nations do not want, e.g., gay pride and anything woke, and on foreign nations where we have no interests.
We'll see how he handles it. Welcome to the Big Leagues, Vivek.
“Those are my principles, and if you don’t like them... well, I have others.”
