Those stories in the US of the downed airliner with witnesses seeing a light flash line moving up to the plane were denied.
Even Even Tom Clancy said “There is no missile from the ground that could have done this.” But the witnesses saw a barge on the water fire it.
UFO deniers should now use the old excuse:
It was the misidentified planet Venus.
George Noory of Coast to Coast AM: “Gosh, that Venus really gets around. It goes everywhere.”
Wagner has more enemies than Putin and Ukraine. When Wagner had its mutiny they shot down several aircraft and killed 30 airmen. The Russian Army and Air Force have not forgiven that humiliation. Someone is committing a lot of sabotage all over Russia. Military factories are not catching fire solely due to perpetually delayed maintenance. It would no surprise me if members of the Russian military took out Prigozhin and have their leadership support to hide their tracks, or a third party sabotaged the aircraft and tried to make it look like a accident.
Concrete proof of a spontaneous center wing tank explosion.
Photos of the tail section and various front skins show what looks like holes from a giant shotgun. It was a missile.
It was an explosion in the fuel tank caused by a spark from a wire.
No, it certainly does NOT.
No, it does not.
The smoke trail is from falling, burning debris.
Agreed.
This resembles 2nd season of Servant of the People, in which VZ, confronted with an oligarch-controlled legislature that would not pass the reforms necessary to get the desperately-needed IMF loan, forms an alliance with the prime minister he jailed for corruption. They fake the latter’s death, and then embark on a set of mad-cap adventures to sow dissent among the oligarchs. Not saying that’s what happened, that Prigozhin is really alive and in secret collaboration with Putin, just that both American and Russian politics are beginning to resemble that political satire show.
A little joke, yes.
This is one of those cases where we may never know. Bomb or missile? Whodunnit? Why?
If it was a missile, two things:
1. The missile remains had to have landed somewhere near by. Where they will be found before long. Because lots of Russians are looking, for sure.
2. Some of the passengers were probably killed instantly by the warhead shrapnel, some others probably were not and experienced the long, tumbling plunge to Earth. Hard to imagine.
Has Clancy gone senile? S-300 “Giant” can go to 20 km altitude, S-400 even higher.
The puncture holes into the fuselage nail it: Definitely a SAM proximity hit.
Possible slight correction, the planes were both said to be leased by Wagner.
I’ve seen the photos of the puncture holes: Classic pattern / distribution that would be caused by a missile proximity hit.
That plane never had a chance — no countermeasures, and even a S-300 can climb much, much higher than the plane’s maximum altitude. About like me using a 12 ga. shotgun on a sparrow 10 ft. away. (No, I’ve never done that!)
Yup. Classic proximity hit.
The puncture patterns and shapes definitely say “missile” proximity hit. That narrows it down quite a bit.
BTW, its nice to see a few rational comments here. Both on FR, and on other sites (You Tube, for example), the quantity of nonsense has gone to a new high...
Could have been a Buk as well, but its a bit less likely as it would have to be quite a lot closer to the flight path. Though I suppose that could have been arranged.
Technically also Tor or Pantsir, in terms of altitude, but even closer to the flight path.
Just part of the slow transition of power from Putin to the Patrushev clan.
On some of the wreckage of Prigozhin’s plane, you can see holes and traces from hitting of an anti-aircraft missile shrapnel.
