Yuck. Who does that? There is no telling where the hands that sliced that lemon have been or whether the lemon has been washed.
I doubt it was washed.
You strain at a gnat and swallow a camel.
Bartenders take great lengths to ensure that food is handled properly. I trust them more than regular restaurant servers.
Health standards apply to bars
as much as a restaurant. Though
it may not look like it from all
the cigarette butts thrown in
the urinals. I owned a bar & grill
in Florida. The once a month
inspections included the lounge.
Bartenders in my establishment
we’re routinely told to rinse
any accoutrement included with
any drink. Health inspectors
like to imbibe, and would sit at the
bar, getting inebriated, taking
notes. They took great pride in
finding any infraction that would
shut a business down.
It’s why lemon juice was invented.
