Governor Chris Sununu (R-NH) said Monday on CNN’s “Inside Politics” that former President Donald Trump can not win the presidential election in November 2024 because his ceiling of popularity is at 45%.
Sununu said, “So one of the key points of that poll showed that about a third of Trump supporters would consider somebody else. When you look at the favorable/unfavorable of all the different candidates DeSantis is better than former President Trump, Tim Scott has strong numbers. Other candidates are showing strong numbers.”
He continued, “I think we all agree the former president’s floor is high, 32, 33, 34%, but his ceiling is also very low. Realistically the ceiling at his best is 45%, but probably gets down to 40%, 42% as we get closer to the elections. Given that, again in Iowa and New Hampshire he polls about 10 points lower than he does nationally that’s where the conversations are happening.”

Well, you can easily guess why he was able to appear on CNN.
I guess Sununu thinks the people are clamoring for a second Biden term, with all the misery it will bring.
And Sununu’s ceiling is about 1%. Asswipes like this make no friends by attacking Trump. It is really an attack on Trump supporters.
Well it can if Biden’s ceiling is 43%. But that remains to be seen - if we have another campaign like we did in 2020, Biden will be able to successfully rehab himself without any opposition...never should have been able to happen with so much material that could have been used but no one ever saw it. Instead, Biden was this magnificent man of accomplishment, vision, the man for the times, etc.
And idiots like this guy will do their best to ensure is ceiling stays a low as possible…

I am done with the notion that we have to “win” every election. Even if I granted Sununu’s premise, and I do not, we must accept losses, legitimate or otherwise, until the anti-MAGA Republicans realize that we are NOT going away, and they have to get with the program, or join the Dems. The Romneys and Ryans prevent us from getting disaffected old school Democrats to replace a few money boys and suburban bimbos from hell. Every time Canada gets an insurgent conservative party, it merges with the Tories and becomes the Tories. Patience. MAGA is a generational battle.

You do not see Libs dumping publicly on their candidates like the Rino’s do. Have no idea what any of them stand for other than war and more war. And illegals. And more Hb-1 visas. And China.

I wish people would wake up to the fact that our government is under enemy occupation and stop acting like we have a government that follows the constitution, has a fair and balanced justice dept, FBI, CIA, EPA, military, education system, on and on and on. Everything is under enemy occupation
