So, remove him from the Republican ticket? If he’s not a Republican, he doesn’t belong on it.

Be careful of what you wish for. Teddy Roosevelt was a former Republican president in 1912 when he ran in the Bull Moose Party.

I could easily see Trump running third party also if he fails to win the GOP nomination.

And fail to win, giving the democrats the victory. Just like TR did.
