Mitchell took to Twitter to lay out his new “plan” to prevent Trump from winning the general election, should he win the Republican Party’s presidential nomination.
“Here’s the plan. If Trump keeps being a prick to DeSantis and wins the nomination, DeSantis supporters should organize to write in DeSantis in the General. We’ll vote straight red down ballot to make sure we control Congress to keep Biden in check for 4 more years,” Mitchell wrote. “But Trump will NEVER be president again.”

Mitchell backtracked on his previous pledge to support any Republican who secured the nomination.
“I thought you said before that you would support any candidate that wins the nomination,” one user replied.
“I changed my mind,” Mitchell responded.
Mitchell grew his online platform in 2016 by being one of the most vocal Trump supporters. However, he made headlines at the beginning of the year when he announced his support for DeSantis over Trump.
Mitchell’s plan to thwart Trump in the general election appears to be aligned with his pledge to “work with every ounce of my being to help Gov. DeSantis win the nomination and the presidency,” as he claimed when he announced his support for the Florida governor.

I love Trump, but I wish he would go after Desantis more tactfully. He can point out policy differences without personal attacks. I know, it’s his style and won’t change, but I don’t think it’s necessary to get his point across.
Because that Trump 50% to desanctimonious 8% in the polls isn’t going to change...
except the percentage for Trump will get larger....
And if Trump isn’t on the ballot, it’s because the deep swamp GOPe rinos, big money and hedge funds kept him off the ballot.
De Santis has already pledged to support whoever wins the primaries, so this is meaningless. De Santis is the only candidate who has done so, incidentally.
So far not many will write in DeSantis. The guy just doesn’t have what it takes to be nationally popular.
Unfortunately, there are a lot of GOPe weasels looking to shive any MAGA candidate in the back. I and many others will return the favor with interest in subsequent elections.
Scenario next November is a 1964 level blowout and the implementation of USSA for at least a generation if not longer.

People still do not understand. It’s not about Trump.
It’s about Build the Wall, Drain the Swamp and America First In All Things. When I say those three things, no one thinks about any other candidate but Trump.
That’s just reality. Drain the Swamp rejects elitism. It is populism and the horror of Donald Trump, to the establishment, is that Trump has erased the stigma of populism. It is now admirable to hold the elite in contempt.
If you have a long resume in politics — if we have ever heard of you in the context of politics, then you are disqualified. Careers in politics is a career in the Swamp.
Disqualified.
That is why there is no aspect of all this that involves “he can’t beat Biden”. Disqualified means disqualified.

10%. 10% of GOP ppl vote Dem in elections and 10% of Dem people vote GOP. Nothing new in this. Exit polls reveal this in every election.
Nothing has changed. If it had changed the Trump/Biden head to head polls would already reveal it.
