The question is will the public allow this authoritarian regime unfettered control?I think so. Most likely, with will happen under President Gavin Newsom. He'll replace two conservative Justices at the end of his second term. That will be around 2036.
Our two conservative justices are in their 70s now.

You’re right, and the people have no idea. All the Obama metrics have been met, now it’s to just sit and wait as the locomotive effect pushes through every American standard only to derail and burn America
That’s the obamanites objective but they don’t have a pathway to success, achievement and progress. Just ruination.

Yes… this is like all internecine conflicts. A slow deliberate walk into hell. The Civil War and before that the Revolutionary War. Same same.

I believe that soon events outside the USA will drive us into chaos. Here's one scenario ( far fetched? You decide):
- Seeing obvious US weakness, China and the DPRK coordinate an attack on Tawain and South Korea.
- We get into a naval war in the Pacific which at first we are winning.
- Over time a draft is needed and no one wants to fight Biden's war.
- Putin sees an opening and attacks west further stretching our ability to supply allies. It officially becomes WWIII.
- We cannot replace/repair our ships as fast as China. Every destoyer we loose we cannot replace in less than 3 years. OTH China replaces their loses at a rate of 5:1 in less than 1 year.
- Our industrial base collapses.
- We decend into secession and civil war.
- No nukes are used because China, Russia and the USA are not threatened with direct invasion.

It’s demoralizing enough to normal Americans to watch what the left is doing to this once-great nation.
What’s most demoralizing, however, is the nearly total lack of opposition.

In the House of Representatives, there are 222 Republicans (plus 2 Delegates and the Resident Commissioner of Puerto Rico), 212 Democrats (plus 3 Delegates), and 1 vacant seat. Given the current numbers in the House, and McCarthy calls for an impeachment committee, would he even get a majority?
Would any of the Republicans bail on it?
It sucks entirely.

I knew this country was doomed in the spring of 2020 when I saw how many simpering cowards we had posting from under their beds with masks on their faces right here on Free Republic.

“Yes we are heading to a crisis, NO doubt about it. The ONLY question is: How will the American people react.”
Venezuela: The corrupt leftist, Nicolas Maduro, arrested his political opponent, Juan Guaido, during the 2019 election cycle. The people protested but Maduro was supported by the courts, the media and the military.
Brazil: The corrupt leftist, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (Lula), arrested his political opponent, Jair Bolsonaro, during the 2020 election cycle. The people protested but Lula was supported by the courts, the media and the military.
I expect the same thing will happen in the USA.

I wish I could find the article but someone wrote that this is a remarkable time in history—never before has a civilization intentionally committed suicide.
I thought about this—the Egyptians, Greeks, Romans, Turks, Soviets, etc. all fell to pieces not because they wanted to, they simply became decrepit and eventually failed.
Can anyone think of any civilization that intentionally killed itself?

How will the American people react
They can move, this is not like earlier where everyone lived at home. If you want you can move anywhere in the world and many areas which you may want to live has nice grocery stores, banks, internet, doctors. You can move a lot of places now that may not be home but its a heck of a lot better than things may be soon in America.

If you think LEOs will choose freedom over losing their pensions and dental plans, you are a fool.
That’s why they always take the side of the looters, etc.
Sure, some will just quit, but the majority want that pension enough to smash your face in for it even if you are right.
I support law enforcement, but they have been co-opted and most have chosen a side already.
